About the Journal
The journal Carinthia Nature Tech (Carinthia II/ Part 3), co-managed by Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS) and the Natural Science Association of Carinthia (Naturwissenschaftlicher Verein für Kärnten, NWV), is a new iteration of the long-standing series Carinthia II/ Parts 1 and 2.
The journal Carinthia II, is among the oldest in Europe. Since 1891 the journal has served as a repository for natural science research in Carinthia. Since 1988, Carinthia II has been published in two parts. Since 2024, a third part - Carinthia Nature Tech is published biannually.
- Carinthia II/ Part 1 is the popular science section, written at a level for general understanding by laypersons, focusing on natural science research occurring in Carinthia.
- Carinthia II/ Part 2 encompasses the scientific section, serving as a medium for documentation of natural sciences with a focus on Carinthia and neighbouring regions of the Alps-Adriatic in Mediterranean Europe.
- Carinthia II/ Part 3 - Nature Tech is a double-blind peer reviewed English section meant to showcase the bridge between nature conservation and technology. It aims to feature advanced testing, research, and development of novel and disruptive technologies.
The cooperation between NWV and CUAS in the management and publishing of Carinthia Nature Tech will strengthen Carinthia as a long-term leader in learning and research for sustainable development and nature conservation technologies.
